A native New Yorker, Venise Toussaint packed up and headed West in August 2013 to join the News 3 team. She’s glad to be in Las Vegas!

Before coming to News 3, Venise reported for YNN in Middletown NY, there some of her stories aired across the state and in New York City.

Venise started her career at WNBW/WGFL in Gainesville, Florida just a few months after graduation. During her time at the NBC & CBS affiliates in Gainesville, Venise and her news team earned the station's first ever Emmy nomination for News Excellence.

Venise is a graduate of the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, she’s also a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Inc.

Some of her most memorable stories are the ones that have helped make an impact in the lives of those in her community. A few months after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake devastated Haiti, Venise interviewed a mom & her three young children who fled the Island in search of refuge, Venise also interviewed a courageous woman living with AIDS who dedicated her life to raising awareness about the disease.

In her spare time, Venise enjoys spending time with family & friends, traveling and going to church.
