Jen Wahl is an Emmy Award winning journalist who joined the News 3 team in August 2013. You can catch Jen forecasting the weather at 11 a.m. and noon. Turn to News 3 in the afternoon and evening to find Jen reporting on local news.
Originally from Phoenix, Jen also spent time reporting at KBOI in Boise and forecasting weather at KRNV in Reno.
As a graduate student at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School, Jen earned an Emmy for a newscast she produced and reported in after traveling to South Africa to cover border issues and xenophobia. In Jen’s first year reporting in Boise, the Idaho Press Club named her Rookie of the Year after covering such stories as the search for 8-year-old Robert Manwill and the weather.
When Jen is not on the job, you can find her goofing around with her husband and two dogs, Chloey and Jalapeno, hiking, kayaking and traveling. Jen also enjoys snapping photos of their many adventures, playing the piano and being involved with the community.
