Boulder City-based organization, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children
is one of 250 finalists in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program, which will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public.
Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program will showcase five nonprofit organizations each day for 50 days on Facebook
. Visitors to the page will receive two votes each day to select two separate winning organizations they feel are most deserving of new Toyota vehicles.
St. Jude’s Ranch for Children will be one of the five organizations highlighted for voting on Oct. 28.
Local residents are encouraged to support St. Jude’s Ranch for children in the quest for a new Toyota Sienna. If St. Jude’s Ranch for Children receives the most votes and is awarded the vehicle, it will be used to provide safe transportation for abused and at-risk children and young adults to places such as: school, recreational activities, visits with family members, and doctors’ appointments.
Currently, several of the vehicles the non-profit organization uses have more than 100,000 miles, are worn, and are not fuel efficient. A new Toyota vehicle would be a great gift of safety for the children and youth served and a gift of fuel efficiency for the charity so every dollar possible can go directly to help serve St. Jude’s Ranch for Children’s mission.
