The Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety is sponsoring a Zero Teen Fatalities‘ Be A Zero: Zero Teen Fatalities traffic safety message contest for high school students statewide.

In an effort to curb fatalities and educate our teens on safe driving, the Office of Traffic Safety invites high school students to participate in our contest that encourages traffic safety in one of three ways: a 30-second video, a 30-second radio announcement or a billboard/bus shelter poster.

Winners will receive prizes and the opportunity for their entry to be featured in public venues, including movie theaters or on display in public buildings and bus shelters. Contest entrants who have earned a valid learner’s permit or license by March 15 will be invited to an all-expenses-paid trip to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Driver’s Edge 2014 and the Be A Zero awards ceremony.

The deadline for registration is Feb. 1; submissions are due March 15. The contest is free to enter.
