LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A Henderson woman killed Friday morning in a head-on accident near Lake Las Vegas has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

Linda May Yettaw, 52, died of multiple blunt force trauma when her Toyota Camry crossed the center line into oncoming traffic while westbound on Lake Mead Parkway near Three Kids Mine about 6:20 a.m.

She collided with a Toyota Prius.

Yettaw was taken to Sunrise Hospital but died about 9:15 a.m.

The driver of the Prius, Susan Pesava, 69, of Henderson, was also taken to Sunrise Hospital. She is expected to survive her injuries. Both women were the only occupants of their vehicles.

A preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.

In 2013, 267 people were killed in motor vehicle crashes on Nevada roadways. So far this year, 115 people have died in traffic-related fatalities statewide with 63 of those deaths occurring in Clark County. Friday’s fatal accident was the fifth traffic-related death in Henderson this year.
