Man held on misdemeanor DUI charge after pedestrian hit and killed on Christmas Eve

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- One man is dead after a crash on Christmas Eve in front of a local hospital. The driver, 21-year-old Arnoldo Perez, is being held on $2,000 bail and faces a misdemeanor DUI charge.

The Vicitim has been identified as 60-year-old Roger Lee Pardue. Police say he was struck by a minivan around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Maryland pkwy in front of Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

Reportedly, Perez was not using a nearby pedestrian bridge and was not in a marked crosswalk. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
