LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) – A shooting left one man dead and two wounded this morning at an after-hours nightclub at Bally’s Casino.
A Metro spokesman said the deceased man was a patron at Drai's After Hours who tried to subdue the gunman. The suspect is in custody.
Another security guard may have been injured, but it is not known how he was injured.
Police say the suspect paid a cover charge and entered the club. The club allows people to walk around and check it out before paying the cover charge.
A short time later, the suspect went to the manager and asks for a refund, saying the club wasn't busy enough. They get into an argument and the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the manager, police said.
Gambling continued in the casino after the shooting, but yellow crime scene tape stretched around several banks of slot machines outside the nightclub. Debris littered the floor.
A spokesperson for Bally’s Las Vegas released this statement: "At approximately 5:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21 a shooting occurred outside of the entrance of Drai’s After Hours nightclub located inside Bally’s Las Vegas.
