Less than six months ago, Tejuana Reeves' daughter Jade Morris was murdered. The death of the child was a high profile case, and now Reeves has been dealt another heartbreaking loss: the death of a second child. No one wants to outlive their children, let alone two. That’s the reality for Reeves who is now in the process of planning a funeral for a son.

“Jordan was kind of like a people person, lots of friends, just to talk, if he called you or somebody called him and said ‘Jordan can you come help me do this?” He’s right there,” Reeves said.

And that's what Tejuana Reeves tells us her 21 year old son Jordan Myers was doing when he passed away.

He was helping a friend, move carpet when something went wrong.

Jordan suffers from asthma and Tejuana feels too much dust may have triggered the bad asthma attack that claimed her son’s life.

“They said he stopped breathing before the ambulance got to him,” Reeves said.

“It's like a double whammy. We just put Jade to rest, not even six months ago, almost six months and to have to go through this again is overwhelming,” Reeves said.

Last December, her little girl Jade Morris was stabbed. Brenda Stokes Wilson is charged in the child's murder and is awaiting trial.

And the heart broken mother says her son was torn apart too when Jade died. He came to live with Tejuana afterward.

“That really broke his heart, jade was his little baby. You know they were really close. Because he hadn't seen her for a while before that happened, he took it really hard,” Reeves said.

So now friends of the family are coming together:  grabbing towels and sponges and soap to wash cars for Tejuana Reeves.

“She doesn't deserve this. Since December, two of her children have passed away unexpectedly. Somehow something is keeping her strong,” said family friend Christine Smith.

Reeves says it's the support from family, friends and even strangers that come up to her with kinds words.

“It's amazing that so many people care and that really touches me,” Reeves said.

Another daughter is left as the family plans another funeral. A vigil is planned tomorrow night for Jordan at Fireman's Park on Torrey Pines and Oakey.
