Nevada gas prices rising as national average dips

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- While U.S. gas prices have dropped about 4 cents a gallon over the past two weeks, the retail price of gas in Nevada continues to rise.

The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Las Vegas is $3.63 today compared with $3.53 a week ago and $3.48 a month ago, according to

The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices released Sunday says the price of a gallon of regular is the U.S. is $3.60. Midgrade costs an average of $3.78 a gallon, and premium is $3.92.

Diesel remained unchanged at $3.90 gallon.

Of the cities surveyed in the lower 48 states, Tucson, Ariz., has the nation's lowest average price for gas at $3.24. Chicago has the highest at $4.23.
