LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – A man suspected of murder in San Antonio, Texas, is dead this morning of a self-inflicted gunshot wound outside the Super 8 Motel near Koval and Flamingo, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

U.S. Marshals had tracked the man, who they called a high-profile murder suspect, to the hotel and contacted him at 10:30 a.m., according to officials. The suspect pulled out a handgun and took off before shooting himself.

According to NBC affiliate WOAI in San Antonio, the suspect is 34-year-old Narada K'fonse Goodrum. He was accused of killing his wife Cynthia Goodrum at her San Antonio home on Dec. 27.

Records show Cynthia Goodrum, who was 4 months pregnant, had filed for divorce the day before she was killed and had filed a temporary restraining order against her husband.

Metro officers say there was only one gunshot. No police or marshals used a weapon.
