LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) – There is a big decision ahead for the Silver State Exchange as the organization looks for a new leader.
On Wednesday, the board narrowed down to its choices to two candidates.
The position has been open since February 14, when former Executive Director Jon Hager resigned following a series of technical glitches regarding the website.
The top three candidates who interviewed for the position were Bruce Gilbert, David Haws, and James Hooban, who each answered questions from board members and talked about their qualifications.
By the end of the long meeting, Jame Hooban was removed from the list of possible candidates.
Gilbert, who is from Texas, interviewed via Skype; Haws was interviewed in person.
Both are looking to be the next executive director, but the board could not decide between the two finalists, so it will bring back Haws and Gilbert for further interviews on June 27.
Gilbert has extensive managerial experience in health care field in the state of Ohio. Haws has many years invested with the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation, as well as having extensive information technology experience and vast experience in the insurance industry.
