Suspect sought in theft, assault at business at Charleston, I-15

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a suspect involved in theft and an assault on an employee of a business in the area of Charleston and Interstate 15.

Metro says in a news release that the suspect was selecting and concealing merchandise into bags around 3:30 p.m. Nov. 17. The suspect then proceeded toward the store exit door.

Store security approached the suspect once she was outside, at which point the suspect produced pepper spray and sprayed the security employee in the face. The suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black female, approximately 18 years old, 5-foot tall and 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, floral pattern shirt and white shorts.
