LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A woman is being charged with arson after a fire early today caused $10,000 damage to a mobile home and killed two house cats.

The Clark County Fire Department reported receiving several 911 calls about 1:30 this morning saying there was a fire in a mobile home in the Sand Creek mobile home park at 2627 S. Lamb Blvd. near Karen and Sahara Avenue in the east-central part of the valley.

Officials said firefighters were on scene in minutes and found a mobile home heavily involved in fire. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire, preventing it from spreading to adjacent homes in the park. Eleven fire units and 29 personnel from CCFD and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to the incident.

The female occupant of the mobile home is being charged with arson. Two house cats died in the fire, there were no injuries. The damage was estimated at $10,000.
