LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A woman found dead Friday in a garage in Nellis Air Force Base housing has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office.
Theresa Rivera, 34, died of asphyxiation, according to the coroner's office. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Her husband, Rickey Massey Jr., 32, an airman at the base, was arrested by Las Vegas police and booked on a murder charge Friday. He is being held on a $1 million bond at the Clark County Detention Center.
At the request of Nellis security staffers, Metro homicide detectives were called to the 4400 block of Kevil Circle at about 10:30 a.m. Friday after a report of Massey being involved in a domestic dispute. They found Rivera’s body in the garage.
Massey, who was inside the residence when Nellis AFB Security personnel arrived, was taken into custody without incident.
Prior to this incident, Massey had no record of criminal history with Metro. His booking photograph accompanies this release.
This is the fourth homicide in Metro's jurisdiction this year, and the investigation is ongoing.
