Woman killed, two injured in single-car rollover near Moapa

MOAPA (KSNV -- A 43-year-old woman was killed and two passengers were injured early Sunday when the car she was driving rolled in the center median on Interstate 15 about 20 miles south of Moapa.

Nevada Highway Patrol Sgt. Kevin Honea said the car was headed northbound on I-15 when it lost control and rolled in the center median, ejecting the driver and a boy about 3 or 4 years old and believed to be the driver's son.

She was pronounced dead at the scene while the boy was transported by helicopter to UMC Trauma has a precaution.

A man who was a passenger in the car was also injured and was transported by ambulance to UMC with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, Honea said.

The accident investigation is continuing.
