LAS VEGAS (KNSV MyNews3.com) –
The Clark County grand jury handed down four indictments this morning, including one for three men charged with five counts of kidnapping involving a home invasion.
Marcus Johnson, 21, Darnell Autrez Jernigan, 18, and Jimmy Banks are accused of robbing three adults and two children at gunpoint, hauling them into a bathroom and threatening to kill them. The three then took 10 pairs of Air Jordan shoes, video game counsels and games, and various articles of clothing, including a hat taken by Jernigan.
The three are also accused of robbing two people who were working on a car in a parking lot. According to the district attorney’s office, it was the hat from the first robbery, along with a red arm cast, that helped identify Jernigan as one of the suspects.
Johnson, Jernigan and Banks are each being held on $200,000 bond. They will return to court at 8:15 a.m. Aug. 22.
Also indicted today were:
- Christopher Ontiveros-Cruz, 28, and Charles Rush, 29, of five felonies involving burglary, kidnapping and impersonating an officer. They are being held on $150,000 bond and will return to court at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 22.
