LAS VEGAS (KSNV – Former UNLV sophomore men’s basketball forward Savon Goodman is due in a Las Vegas court this morning to face charges in a burglary case.

Goodman originally had intended to sit out this season, but in October he chose to leave the program.

Goodman has been implicated in a burglary case during the summer, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

A Las Vegas Township Justice Court document indicates that a warrant was issued for Goodman's arrest on Aug. 15. It lists conspiracy to commit burglary, a gross misdemeanor, and burglary and grand larceny, both felonies. The incident behind the charges is alleged to have occurred May 18. Goodman has not been convicted of any charges.

As a freshman in 2012-13, Goodman appeared in 27 games for the Rebels, playing in just over nine minutes per contest. He averaged 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 46.3 percent from the field.

Goodman came to UNLV from Constitution High School in Philadelphia.
