LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- For some, George Zimmerman’s shooting of Trayvon Martin in Florida sparked outrage. For others, it sparked questions.

Some local gun owners are asking what the rules are for Stand Your Ground in Nevada.

The Guns and Ammo Garage hosted a forum Thursday night to answer that question.

Former Metro Lt. Randy Sutton says to stand your ground in the state, you need to have the right to be where you're at. You cannot be committing a crime when you use deadly force, and you cannot be the original aggressor.
