LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Wet 'n' Wild Water Park on Fort Apache remains one of the hottest attractions of the summer. But, as many patrons know, the lines are long and parking can be scarce.
A News 3 investigative crew has spent days at the park, surveying the scene and finding tips your family can use to get the most out of the park.
Wet 'n' Wild reps check bags and prohibit coolers, but they allow factory-sealed water bottles. It's a good idea to bring your own because concession lines can be long.
The park also offers in-and-out privileges, so you can keep a cooler in your car and water in a rented locker.
Many park goers say it's less crowded in the evening and during the week, particularly on Tuesdays.
For an extra fee, an express pass can be bought. You will not have to wait to enter the Lazy River or the Wave Pool, but they, too, can be crowded.
And kids will have no trouble keeping cool as they have their own section of the park.
There are height requirements for many of the slides. But even so, visitors still have complaints.
Season passes are sold out, but new weekday passes and twilight passes went on sale last week. Single-day admission will run you about $40.
Also, there are two parking lots available, one in the front and one in the back of the park. Each cost $5.
