LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Medical marijuana marketplace brings more than 600 vendors are showcasing items that locals may soon be able to find in dispensaries.
People attending the Champs Trade Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center got a first-hand look at the growing industry.
"We're looking to learn as much as we can about what the products are out there, that are going to be relevant to dispensaries and to also patients, caregivers," Lamb said.
Champs is the largest trade show of its kind, selling smoke shop paraphernalia, some of which Lamb says can be beneficial for medical marijuana patients.
People, of course, always talk about the smoking, but from a medical marijuana standpoint, smoking is not necessarily the best way to ingest the drug; many treatment options include edibles or vaporizing.
With more states legalizing medical marijuana, trade show organizer and President Jeffrey Hirschfeld has he's seeing more vendors and businesses here each year, and he's already gotten inquiries from locals looking to get into the industry. "We started out with approximately 34 booths, and today we'll have about 650 booths of the best manufacturers vendors and distributors in the market," Hirschfeld said.
Lamb says that's a sign of what's to come as the medical marijuana industry continues to growing both locally and nationally.
