(NBC News) Protesters gathered again overnight in Ferguson, Missouri and for the third straight night the community continued to march toward calm.

"There were no Molotov cocktails tonight, no fires, no shootings. We did not seize a single handgun," Missouri State Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson said.

More than 5,000 people have donated more than $225,000 in the last four days.
