NORTH LAS VEGAS – The North Las Vegas Police Department was notified today by University Medical Center that the 7-year-old girl critically injured in the July 11 auto-pedestrian crash at Commerce Street and Kraft Avenue has died.
The girl was crossing Commerce Street with her 43-year-old uncle in a crosswalk when she was struck by a Ford truck traveling northbound on Commerce Street at about 8:53 p.m. on July 11.
She was transported to UMC in extremely critical condition.
The 47-year-old driver of the truck remained on scene and was not injured in the crash. Drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in this crash. Charges against the driver are pending the conclusion of the investigation.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the victim's identity.
This is the 4th traffic fatality in the City of North Las Vegas this year.
