LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross
urges the community to consider donating to Red Cross Disaster Relief so that when a disaster strikes, assets can be mobilized without hesitation.
As the death toll from Nepal's devastating earthquake
climbed past 4,000, aid workers and officials in remote, shattered villages near the epicenter pleaded Monday for food, shelter and medicine.
The Red Cross is already providing support and help – and will be there in the weeks and months ahead.
Donations to Red Cross Disaster Relief allowed Red Cross to respond immediately to this disaster and are providing help now.
Red Cross Disaster Relief allows the non-profit to respond to disasters big and small – 70,000 disasters every year around the country.
