Sunday: Mountain Ridge will play Japan for the consolation title. The game is at 7 a.m. PDT on ABC-TV.

Top of sixth:
Ridge gets a runner on, but a bang-bang double play gives Chicago a 7-5 win and the U.S. championship.

Bottom of fifth:
Chicago rallies with small hits and errors to take a 7-5 lead. Last chance for Ridge.

Brad Stone's two-run homer to right with two outs gives Ridge a 5-4 lead.

Defense prevails. Nobody scores. Ridge trails 4-3 going into the 5th.

Top of third:
Brennan Holligan leads off with a double, but gets stranded at third. Chicago holds 4-3 lead.

Bottom of second:
Ridge pitcher Brennan Holligan nearly gets out of a jam, but a double scores a run in after two outs to give Chicago a 4-3 lead.

Top of the second:
Mountain Ridge doesn't appeal a double play when the runner was safe. No runs. Still tied 3-3.

After 1 inning:
Chicago came back with 3 runs in the bottom of the first with Trey Hondras hitting a two-run homer for the big hit.

Top of the first update:
Drew Laspaluto delivers a bases-loaded double to give Ridge a 3-0 lead after the top of the first. Three singles loaded the bases but two quick outs made it look like Chicago might escape damage. But Drew took care of that for Ridge.

Mountain Ridge is set to take on Chicago this afternoon for the U.S. championship of the Little League World Series.

Mountain Ridge is undefeated in the tourney and defeated Chicago's Jackie Robinson All-Stars by a 13-2 margin earlier in the tourney.  Chicago came back through the loser's bracket and defeated Philadelphia 6-5 to make the title game.

The winning U.S. team will take on South Korea in Sunday's overall title game at Noon (Las Vegas time). The loser will play Japan in the consolation game at 7 a.m. (Las Vegas time).
