LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- The Clark County Fire Department will conduct a community open house regarding summer safety.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 14 at Fire Station 19, 5575 Spencer St. at East Russell Road. It will emphasize summertime safety topics about preventing fires, staying safe in the heat, firework safety, and drowning prevention.

“We are proud to host these events and appreciate the participation from our community partners,” said Clark County Fire Chief Bertral Washington. “We want residents to have a fun and enjoyable summer and to be safe around swimming pools, barbecues and other items that can be a source of injury this time of year.”

Many agencies will be attending the event, to name a few, the Helping Kids Clinic, The Southern Nevada Child Drowning Prevention Coalition, TIPS, and Las Vegas Urban League.
