LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- The biggest UFC of the year happens September 27 at the MGM Grand, but blows between the two fighters in the main event were already thrown Monday morning.
Nobody was hurt, but the brawl created quite a scene. UFC light heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones and challenger Daniel Cormier came to blows during the pre-fight press conference.
The usual face-off and photo-op ended with fists flying as the champion Jones and Cormier -- a former Olympic wrestler -- fell off the stage at the MGM Grand.
Security broke up the scuffle. The two continued their battle later on Twitter, where Jones tweeted: "Come on D-C (Daniel Cormier) where was your takedown defense. I put you on your back in six seconds."
Cormier countered: "Don't ever put ur dirty face on me again."
If this first exchange is any indication, September's UFC fight should be exciting.
