Coroner identifies infant found in southeast valley home

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- An infant who died in the southeast valley Friday night after her mother was involved in a car accident has been identified.

Las Vegas resident Rhylee Brown, 3 months, was identified Saturday by the Clark County coroner's office. Her manner and cause of death is pending an autopsy.

According to the Metro watch commander, the events began about 7:10 p.m. near Harmon and Pecos.

The child’s mother was walking down the street and was hit by a car.  

When police arrived, the woman who was struck told them she thought her child was dead in a home. The child and mother were taken to Sunrise where the was child pronounced dead.

Detectives from Metro's abuse and neglect detail were sent to the scene to investigate.
