LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) --
The Clark County coroner's office has identified a man found shot to death Wednesday night in an alley in the 4900 block of East Sahara Avenue.
Allen Lee Padilla, 48, was killed by a gunshot wound to the chest, says a medical examiner. The death was ruled a homicide. The coroner's office did not have a residence for the victim.
Metro patrol officers were dispatched to an alleyway behind a Food 4 Less grocery store to investigate reports of gunfire and a subject down on the ground. They found a man in an alleyway dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
A Metro investigation indicated the victim was walking in the alleyway behind the store and encountered two other men. The preliminary information suggested that a verbal altercation took place before a shot was fired, and the suspects drove away at a high rate of speed.
The suspects were described as unknown race males. One suspect was wearing a black shirt and jeans and the other suspect was wearing a grey shirt and unknown color shorts. The suspect vehicle was a dark colored sedan heading eastbound on Sahara Avenue.
