Coroner identifies man killed in one-car rollover on Durango

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified the man killed Saturday morning when he lost control of his car in the southwest part of the valley.

Las Vegas resident Romaric Profeta Par, 47, became the 22nd traffic fatality in Metro's jurisdiction when he lost control of his 2012 Nissan Leaf just south of South Durango Road and West Desert Inn Road about 10:15 a.m.

Metro's accident report said evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate the Leaf was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Durango through the intersection of Desert Inn. The driver of the Nissan failed to maintain the travel lanes leaving the roadway to the right south of the intersection.
