LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A Las Vegas man who died Saturday morning after being overcome by fumes while working inside a railroad tanker in North Las Vegas has been identified.

The Clark County coroner's office said 47-year-old Stanley Thomas Wright was the victim.

Investigators said Wright was overcome by highly volatile ethanol vapors and died while working inside a rail car tanker early Saturday.

Witnesses stated that their co-worker lost consciousness inside the tanker and was not able to climb out.

Firefighter crews assessed the tanker and found the atmosphere inside the empty tanker to be extremely unsafe.

The incident is under investigation by OSHA officials.
