Coroner identifies motorcyclist killed on Blue Diamond

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- The Clark County coroner has identified the motorcyclist killed Sunday evening in the southwest part of the valley.

Brandon Dean Harris, 38, of Las Vegas was killed about 7:45 p.m. when his Honda CHR600 struck the right side of a Honda CRV at the intersection of Arlington Ranch Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road (State Route 160).

The Nevada Highway Patrol reported that Harris was operating his motorcycle in a reckless manner and speeding as he headed eastbound on Blue Diamond.

Harris was taken to Spring Valley Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The 67-year-old female drive of the Honda CRV was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The fatal accident was the  Nevada Highway Patrol-Southern Command's 38th traffic fatality the 12th involving a motorcycle for this year.
