LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A man who was missing and presumed to be a drowning victim in Lake Mead has been identified.

The Clark County coroner's office said 45-year-old Henderson resident Edwin Vivas went missing May 10 and was found May 22.

The medical examiner said Vivas died from submersion in water and his death was ruled an accident.

According to the National Park Service, rangers found the body south of Castle Reef in the Boulder Basin of the lake at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday.

On May 10, rangers said the man, who was not wearing a life jacket, was swimming with two other people. High winds caused the man to struggle before he disappeared below the surface, rangers said.
