Bisbane, Australia ( - Andrew Dodt finished his final round with a 5-under 67 to earn a 2-shot victory at the Queensland Open.

Dodt ended the week at 7-under 281 and he edged out Tom Bond, who shot a final-round 75 and finished in second at 5-under 283.

Dodt, who is from Queensland, has not won a tournament since the 2010 Avantha Masters on the European Tour.

Beginning the day six shots behind the lead, Dodt started off on the right foot with a birdie at the first. After rattling off six straight pars, Dodt poured in his second gain of the day on the par-5 eighth and he made the turn with a par on nine.

Dodt tripped to his lone bogey of the round at 10, but after two straight pars, Dodt skyrocketed up the leaderboard.

Birdies on 13 and 15 had Dodt in contention and he road that momentum to the 17th hole. Dodt came through in the clutch and drained back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18, which eventually proved to be the two winning strokes.

Cameron Smith (70), Michael Long (70), Jake Higginbottom (71), Anthony Brown (73) and Matthew Griffin (74) all finished tied for third at 3-under 285, while amateur Kade McBride (69) and Brett Dewitt (71) were right behind them at minus-2.
