LAS VEGAS (KSNV – About 500 people showed up Sunday for the inaugural “A Games,” hosted by local nonprofit Families for Effective Autism Treatment.

The event was conducted at Sport Social in Las Vegas. Local celebrity and Las Vegas native TJ Lavin, host of the MTV show “The Challenge” and also an X Games gold medalist, is the “A Games” Spokesperson

The “A Games” is similar to the well-known “X Games,” but for children on the autism spectrum. Participants had the opportunity to participate in two of seven events (bike race, skateboard race, scooter race, bike trick competition, skateboard trick competition, scooter trick competition and the Parkour obstacle course).

All monies raised will stay in Southern Nevada – expanding FEAT’s outreach, support and programs for families and professionals affected by autism.
