Metro's monthly first Tuesday meeting will address ways to prepare for a potential disaster in southern Nevada.
A 6.0 earthquake in California and almost weekly concerns about flash flooding from monsoon weather in Clark County have prompted Metro to address disaster preparation.
Area commands around the county will open their doors to residents Tuesday night. Meetings start at 7 p.m.
Officers will discuss the biggest disaster threats in our area and the importance of preparation.
