LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- The price at the pump has jumped a few pennies this summer, a result of the road construction drivers are seeing all over the valley.
The Regional Transportation Commission has been pouring millions of dollars into road improvements since the beginning of the year.
For many people in the valley this means desperately needed jobs.
Last year, the Clark County Commission voted to approve a fuel tax that adds no more than 10 cents to each gallon of gas purchased over the next 3 years.
The cash will help fund 199 road projects during that time and create 9,000 new jobs.
