Georgia couple killed by hit-and-driver near Rio identified

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified the Georgia couple killed Friday night while crossing the street outside of a crosswalk near South Valley View and West Flamingo by the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino.

Charlotte Westbrook, 74, and her husband, Terry Westbrook, 71, died when they were struck by a dark-colored Nissan that fled the scene. The car has not been found.

The cause of death for both was multiple blunt force trauma.

Their deaths were the 48th and 49th traffic fatalities in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
