Henderson police seek public's help in death of pedestrian

HENDERSON – Henderson police are seeking anyone with information about the death of a pedestrian early Saturday that is being investigated as a possible hit and run.

Officers responded at about 1:30 a.m. to a 61-year-old man lying in the roadway on Galleria Drive, about 250 feet west of North Gibson Road. The man was found in a right-hand turn lane on the north side of Galleria Drive.

Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clark County coroner’s office will release the victim’s name after he has been positively identified and his family has been notified.

Galleria Drive was closed for about three hours while traffic officers conducted an investigation.
