LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- As the House weighs in on immigration reform, a non-profit group in Las Vegas has been packed with people asking questions and searching for answers on all kinds of immigration related issues.

On Wednesday, Hermandad Mexicana Transnacional, received a visit from Governor Brian Sandoval.

Angel and Elizabeth Robles of Jalisco, Mexico want to become official U.S. citizens. After many years, they are moving forward, hoping Hermandad Mexicana Transnacional can put them on the right path.

"We're new here in Las Vegas. Some people tell us there are good people here that help the Hispanic community," Robles said.

Don't let the name fool you. This organization doesn't just help Mexicans, it services people of all nationalities, with numerous services.

"We have people coming in wanting to file for a family member. We have people coming in wanting to file or their own citizenship, to renew their green cards, to renew their work permits," Amador said.

The organization's office is always busy, and Hermandad Mexicana also offers other services including adult literacy and elementary level arithmetic.

Governor Brian Sandoval recognized Hermandad Mexicana, and he was thanked for his support, especially for the passage of the driver authorization card for undocumented residents.

The organization will be staying on top of the card's implementation to help people when it becomes available. It understands the scope of its outreach.

"The trust it has established within the community and I know they can come to us and we will tell them what we know. We will tell them yes we can help you; No, we can't help you; Yes, it can be done. No, it can't be done," Amador said. The Robles' came here, and they hope it can be done.
