LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Many Veterans will say finding a job and re-adjusting to civilian life is what they struggled with most after returning home.

The program started about a year and a half ago.

Since then, about 25 veterans have been trained for full-time, supervisory, and management positions throughout the company.

Juan Pakio is in his last week of training in the program and he's now the housekeeping training manager at Vdara hotel and spa.

“It’s had a very big impact,” Plakio said. “I went from a lower level position from a different job that i had to overseeing 300 people in a department, it’s allowed me to use the skills that I’ve gained in the military and it’s allowed me to hold my head high and be proud of the job that i actually have.”

He and six other veterans will graduate from the Boots to Business program Wednesday and become full time employee’s.
