A 22-year-old man faces murder charges as a result of a fight with his roommate who died after being cut with a piece of broken glass.
Charged with murder with the use of a deadly weapon is Timothy Stall. He is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
About 9 a.m. Saturday, Metro officers responded to the 200 block of North 9th Street, to investigate reports of an injured man in a nearby apartment complex. Arriving officers and medical personnel discovered a male bleeding profusely from his leg. The male was transported to the UMC Trauma Center where he later died.
Through a preliminary investigation officers located Stall near the scene. Homicide detectives assumed the investigation and determined that Stall and the victim were roommates at the time of the fight.
The men were involved in a verbal altercation which later turned physical. During the struggle Stall threw a large piece of broken glass at victim and struck him on the leg.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
The fatality was the 73rd homicide investigated by Metro this year.
