LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) –
A runway at McCarran International Airport had to be closed for 45 minutes tonight after a hydraulic spill by a landing plane.
According to McCarran spokesman Mark Suman, a Southwest Airlines flight reported a “degraded brake system” to the control tower just before 8 p.m. The plane landed at 8:14 p.m. on the East-West runway that runs parallel with Sunset Road.
The runway was closed after crews removed the plane and cleaned the spill from the runway. It reopened at 8:59 p.m.
