LAS VEGAS - Representatives from the Clark County Fire Department visited Grant Sawyer Middle School to honor two students for their acts of heroism last month.

Students Sean Gabriel Kelley and Kenny Morgan, sixth-grade students at the school, were walking in their neighborhood when they noticed a house on fire.

They ran to the house and knocked on the door to alert anyone inside.

However, the resident, an elderly wheelchair bound man, was not able to exit the burning home.

The boys assisted the man in getting him and his pets safely from the home before fire department officials arrived on the scene.

For their heroism, the students were recognized in front of their peers at the school and they were also given a tour of a fire engine that was brought to the school as part of the presentation.
