BOULDER CITY (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Federal investigators are releasing their first report on a plane crash in Boulder City.

The crash on June 23 killed pilot Joseph Edwards, and his passenger, Cody Hall. The single engine Beech A-45 was flying from Chandler, Ariz. to the North Las Vegas Airport.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board, Hall radioed that he was having engine problems.

He told air traffic controllers his plane had lost an engine cylinder.

At 3,800 feet, he reported he had things under control and his landing gear was down.

Controllers cleared him to land in Boulder City but there was no other contact from the aircraft.
