CARSON CITY, Nev. -- O.J. Simpson is back in the news.

Thursday he goes before the parole board for part of his 2008 conviction for kidnapping and armed robbery.

News 3's Denise Rosch has a preview from Carson City.

But, even if the board finds in his favor that doesn't mean he'll be getting out of prison any time soon.

It's been five years since a local jury sent OJ Simpson to prison.

The former football star convicted for kidnapping and robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at the palace station.

Former district attorney David Roger prosecuted the case, and weighs in on what we should expect.
