Denver, CO ( - The Colorado Rockies activated first baseman Justin Morneau from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday among a flurry of roster moves.

Morneau has not played since July 13 due to a neck strain.

The 33-year-old underwent surgery to repair a pinched nerve in his neck while with Minnesota in 2011 and missed more than six weeks following the procedure.

Morneau is putting together a strong first season in Colorado, having hit .312 with 13 home runs over 89 games in addition to his team-leading 60 RBI.

Colorado also activated pitcher Boone Logan from the DL, recalled infielder Cristhian Adames from Triple-A Colorado Springs and optioned infielder Ben Paulsen and pitchers Brooks Brown and Chad Bettis.

Logan, who spent time on the DL due to diverticulitis, has appeared in 25 games this season, compiling a 2-1 record with a 6.11 earned run average.

Paulsen had 10 hits and two RBI with three runs scored in seven games for the Rockies.

Brown pitched in nine games with Colorado, putting together an 0-1 record with 7.56 ERA, while Bettis went 0-2 with 1 9.12 ERA in 21 relief appearances.

Adames has yet to play in the majors, but has hit .276 with two home runs and 40 RBI in 93 games between Double-A Tulsa and Colorado Springs this season.
