LAS VEGAS — Southwest Gas wants to remind customers about the company’s bill payment policies so they can avoid being scammed.

The comany says it recently received several reports of people misrepresenting themselves as employees from Southwest Gas that have called customers, both residential and business owners, to demand immediate payment. As a reminder:

• Southwest Gas will not call to ask for credit card information, for customers to purchase pre-paid debit cards for payment or for cash transfers.
• Employees will typically only visit a home upon request by the customer and will always carry the appropriate identification while wearing a company uniform.

Customers with questions about their account should call Southwest Gas Customer Assistance at (877) 860-6020.

Southwest Gas provides natural gas service to approximately 1.9 million customers in Arizona, California and Nevada. For more information, please visit
