Two extricated from rollover in accident that injures three; roads open again

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- Two people were rescued by firefighters today after a three-vehicle accident that included one rolling over in front of Tivoli Village on the west side of the valley.

According to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue information officer Tim Szymanski, firefighters responded about 12:15 p.m. and found two people trapped in a car that had rolled near Rampart Boulevard and Alta Drive.

The two were extricated and taken to a hospital.

Metro Officer Laura Meltzer said three vehicles were involved in the accident and three people were transported to the hospital. Officers reported that none of the injuries appeared to be critical.

The eastbound lanes of Alta Drive and one westbound turn lane were closed as Metro investigated, but were opened about 2 p.m.
