LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- There are roughly 6,000 sex offenders living in southern Nevada. But who are these men and women and why would they commit these crimes?

News 3's Elizabeth Donatelli sat down and spoke with two of these men to try and understand the compulsion.

Both asked to conceal their identity but agreed to speak with News 3.

They were convicted of inappropriate behavior with girls younger than 16, yet they are still concerned about children and hope sharing their story could protect other kids from falling prey to predators like themselves.
