LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- It's been nearly a month since legal online poker launched in the state of Nevada.

The CEO of Ultimate Gaming says he knows cheats are trying to log in, but he's confident their technology is keeping your money safe. was the first out of the gate to launch real money games strictly within Nevada's borders. With that honor comes a lot of responsibility.

All eyes have been on since it first launched April 13.

Ultimate Gaming CEO Tobin Prior says the weight of this brand new industry is on their shoulders.

“We feel huge pressure and huge responsibility,” Prior said. “All eyes are on Nevada; all eyes are on this product. It's important that the Nevada Gaming Control Board does prove out this technology works, and it's important that we prove out that it works.”

Prior says Ultimate Poker has registered about 15,000 people across the world, but making sure those people are within Nevada’s borders is the challenge.

They err on the side of caution and have shut out the most players because they can't meet their criteria.

“If we think people aren't in the state or if we can't triangulate all of the various factors we bring together to prove they are here, we tend to shut people out," Prior said. "That tends to cause frustration among our customers but it makes sure that we're in fact not making mistakes.”

Identifying players who are of age is the other challenge. Prior says they have a series of checks every player has to pass before they ante up. So far the site is pleasing gaming regulators.

Control Board Chairman A.G. Burnett tells us he has no concerns about the site from a regulatory standpoint.

He says the issues Ultimate Poker is facing have mostly been technical in nature.

Prior says they're working around the clock to help those who are having issues.
